A Forest of Giant Oaks Volume 1 – INDEPENDENCE – Launched 26 Dec 2022

2 min read

Launched December 26, 2022. The same day the story begins.

In the quiet hours after midnight on December 26, 2022, a hidden chamber inside Independence Hall comes alive. A Leyden jar charges. Frost spreads across iron bars. A child is taken from his own era and sent into another. Not for protection. For purpose.

This moment is the opening move in a conflict that has shaped America from the shadows. The Regents work across centuries to preserve the nation’s timeline. The Brokers work just as relentlessly to break it. Their struggle never appears in textbooks, yet its consequences define the country.

The displaced child at the center of this Prerogative will grow up far from the year of his birth. He will be shaped by the world of the Founders, by the ideals they fought for, and by the documents that forged a nation. He will not understand why he was moved. Not at first. But the past will prepare him for a future the Brokers cannot allow to unfold.

This is the beginning of the Acorn Prerogative. This is where the series starts. And this is why the novel launches on the same day its story ignites.

A Forest of Giant Oaks: INDEPENDENCE is now available.

First Chapter From Early Draft

Here’s another chapter that I cut because it did little to introduce my main character or build the world significantly. It was fun to write because it took the whole story of Paul Revere’s ride and places one of my time travelers, Cordelia, in the scene as a witness and a heroine. En...

The Antagonists Origin Chapter

This week I’m sharing the original chapter where I introduce the Antagonist, Giovanni Rosso and his enabler, Rex Purson. It shows where they came from and reveals their motivations, but this is another chapter that got cut because the first act of the novel was too long. Please send me an e...
